Best Franchise Opportunities in Arizona

My last article in this series may have been on the great state of Washington, but that doesn’t mean Arizona doesn’t have tons to offer.

In many ways, the state has tons to offer even if it’s vastly different from tons of other places.

It’s not just the weather outside that’s hot in Arizona. It’s also the ability ot generate a hot franchise portfolio that will set your family up for generational wealth.

With franchisees helped from Phoenix to Prescott, today’s the day I finally write my article on the best franchise opportunities in Arizona, including multi-unit opportunities.

However, there are a couple of points to mention. This isn’t an all-encompassing list but rather some companies, cherry-picked that I feel have a lot of good things going for them. In the article, I’ll touch on important aspects for franchising. However, I’ll also touch on factors to consider that are specific to the state of Arizona.

If you schedule a call with me, we can go over your options to find the best opportunity that matches your lifestyle and wishes.

Crumbl Cookies

By now, Crumbl Cookies has made it onto the various lists I’ve written a few times. However, while it’s on the list of the best multi-unit franchise opportunities in Arizona doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the right choice for you (it could be).

You’re probably already familiar with the concept of Crumbl Cookies. They make some sweet treats that aren’t just out of this world, they’re also very Instagram-worthy! You may even be following them across various channels online, catching your mouth watering ever so slightly when you see one of their pictures.

Crumbl Cookies got famous on TikTok because of how much viral potential the product has, which helps the owners of the franchising locations.

There’s no denying it’s every business owner’s dream when they’re selling a product that’s so popular on the internet that the social media platforms drive tons of customers to them.

It could finally be that all your reading of FDDs (franchise disclosure documents), territory rights, and royalty structures is coming to an end as you’re considering Crumbl Cookies.

Crumbl Cookies has something else that keeps them exciting – rotating menus. You probably think that’s a business owner’s worst nightmare, but the company still manages to keep operations easy.

With office treat days being popular in the state and sugar-loving college students, you’re sure there will always be people dying to get their hands on these sweet treats. Consumer demand for this sweet treat is high as a consequence.

On top of that, Arizona’s planned communities makes commuting (and therefore deliveries) easy too! East Valley (Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creak) is probably the first location I would look at putting up. The downside to this business is its high-touch aspect of the operations. Labor, prep, and inventory are all crucial components of turning it into a success.

SportClips

The concept is very simple, which is one of the reasons SportClips is one of the best franchise opportunities in Arizona. It appeals to men who want to look good but want to do so while watching some sports.

Are you concerned about whether this year’s flavor is the same as what’s in style next year? With SportClips, you’re not worried whether acai bowls are suddenly going out of fashion.

🧠 Important Factors to Consider Beauty school proximity (high stylist availability), summer heat = increased indoor service traffic, visibility from commuter corridors (AZ-101, US-60)
🎯 Creative Way to Get the Word Out Launch “Sun Devil MVP Week” in Tempe 🌵— partner with ASU for student haircuts & alumni upgrades at a football tailgate

The great news is that people tend to pick the place where they get a haircut, and then they come back. In that sense, cashflows become more predictable when you got yourself established. Many businesses have cycles that they go through. More ice cream is sold during the warmer months (well, maybe not in Arizona).

But hair keeps on growing. With its focus on sports, there are many places in Arizona where these locations would fit right in. Military families. Tech workers. Look for locations that are very male-heavy.

Mesa and Tucson could be great places to set up shop. In addition, your location will offer something that’s loved by the residents of Arizona – a stint of cold air.

Here’s a business I would give A+ for scalability because it’s very easy to operate. It’s fairly low in terms of your managerial duties, and you should be able to become semi-absentee as a consequence.

Setting up in strip malls, near gyms, or grocery stores makes it convenient to handle other chores and then get a fresh cut. You also will not be returning home smelling like fried chicken every single night, which is a huge plus.

Even if people may marginally lower the frequency at which they get hair cuts during recessions, it’s still a model that’s very recession-proof.

Jersey Mike’s

Jersey Mike’s is maybe one of my favorite sandwich shops. It just feels luxurious to see them cut the meat right in front of you, and I won’t have to remind you that Mike’s Way is the right way to get your sandwich.

Jersey Mike’s doesn’t just have a great brand, it also has the flavor to back it up. It’s a great franchise opportunity for someone who is very service-oriented.

Arizonans definitely value a quality sandwich, but they’re also ready for it to come out at a reasonable pace. All of this is something Jersey Mike’s is capable of offering.

Even if I like to make my sandwich at home often, I typically go to places that cut the meat on the spot when I go out. A location with a considerable amount of foot traffic might be good, but I do find myself driving to my local Jay Mikes at least once a week. It’s probably safe to say it’s a business model that can work in both urban and suburban zones as a consequence.

Food-based franchises aren’t for everyone, but Jersey Mike’s is one of the easiest to operate with great support from the franchisor. As a consequence, multi-unit franchising is possible with a franchisor like Jersey Mike’s.

Hydrate IV Bar

IV drips are the talk around town, and a company that’s growing rapidly is Hydrate IV Bar. Its wide range of hydration, recovery, and vitamin options is everything the affluent consumer is craving these days.

Med-spas have become popular, and Hydrate IV Bar offers a combination that includes a considerable wellness component to it.

Hydrate IV Bar partially made this list because the state’s insanely dry. Hydration is key! However, there’s a considerable focus among affluent Arizonians and health-minded folks to go and pursue services like those offered by this franchisor.

Factors to consider

Each state will have specific factors that influence your choice of franchise more in that location than in others. Arizona is no different. Whereas a state like Illinois will have considerably different weather in the winter, the summer is really when the people in Arizona choose to stay inside.

📍 Region 🏪 Best Franchise Types 🧠 Why It Works Here 🎯 Local Promo Idea
🌞 Phoenix Metro Haircare, IV therapy, auto tinting, smoothie bars Large commuter base + extreme summer heat = strong indoor demand; large cosmetology school pipeline; sun-focused products thrive year-round “Cool Cut Saturdays” — free MVP hair upgrades in Tempe with proof of recent tinting or gym membership
🧢 Tucson Mobile pet care, lawn services, fitness recovery, laundry lockers High student population (U of A), snowbird neighborhoods, and zoning that’s flexible for mobile services and garage-based operations “Desert Dog Days” — co-sponsor campus dog-walks with branded pet wipes and hydration packs
🌄 Flagstaff Outdoor gear retail, juice bars, self-serve car wash, bike repair Tourism hub + active lifestyle crowd + local loyalty to “eco” businesses = strong niche service demand and higher price elasticity “Trailhead Punchcard” — punch system with every outdoor gear or tune-up service along Highway 180
🏜️ Yuma Fuel + snack stops, cooling services, QSRs, agriculture logistics Major snowbird RV traffic, agriculture transport routes, and underserved convenience zones with high year-round sun exposure “Stay Cool Yuma” — branded water stations outside gas stations with coupon QR codes
⛳ Scottsdale / Chandler Luxury spa, nail/lash, sports rehab, boutique retail Affluent retirees + premium plaza density + HOA-covered neighborhoods = perfect for appearance & performance-driven brands “Luxe Lounge Night” — pop-up glam bars at golf club events or HOA pool decks

The last thing you want to do is choose a franchise there’s no demand for for part of the year because of the climate outside.

Arizona’s growing like crazy, and suburban sprawl is happening. Now’s the time to figure out the right businesses to put up in Peoria and Queen Creek to take advantage of all this development that’s going on. If you can be ahead of the curve, you can take advantage of an expanding residential situation.

While the above is only a section of the franchise opportunities available, you can always schedule a call so we can find the right business for you in Arizona!
